Details of Incident:
On March 22, 2017, at 11:41pm, town of Madison Police were dispatched to the 2600 block on Pheasant Ridge Tr., as a result of a call to police for sounds of a disturbance within a residence.  Upon arrival, officers located a 23 year old female with numerous stab wounds and lacerations as the result of a knife attack.

After police arrived, they were notified of a suspect description and direction he fled on foot.  The suspect was located a short distance away and apprehended, without incident.

The suspect and victim are known to each other and have previously been involved in a domestic relationship.  There is no ongoing threat to the community or any known individuals.

The victim is being treated at a hospital for injuries she sustained from the knife attack and is currently listed in stable condition.  The victim’s name is not being release at this time.

The suspect, Tolden, was booked into the Dane County Jail with a request for a charge of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.  Additional charges may be requested pending completion of the ongoing investigation.

Town of Madison Police were assisted with this investigation by Fitchburg Police, Wisconsin State Patrol, City of Madison Police, and Dane County Sheriff’s Department.
