The Capitol Area OWI Task Force has called it a year! The state fiscal year ends September 30, so the grant must be closed out. The grant was administered by the DeForest Police Department and led by Lt. Dan Furseth. This is the report he sent out to all agencies.
Personally, I would like to thank all the communities involved and all the agencies that have made this a program that has been copied state wide; including WI DOT BOTS. It is hard to put a number on the number of people we prevented from driving drunk and the number of lives that were impacted. I am confident that we have made a difference.
